About the Role ExecuPOWER is seeking a Distribution Designer to support the development of utility design packages for overhead and underground electric distribution projects. The Distribution Designer will assist with preparing drawings, applying industry standards, and supporting QA/QC processes.

Key Responsibilities

Create design packages for utility projects, including overhead and underground electric distribution systems.

Prepare CAD drawings, layouts, and schematics using industry‑standard software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and PLS‑CADD.

Apply applicable codes and standards, including NESC, IEEE, and local utility guidelines.

Work closely with engineers and senior designers to interpret design concepts and translate them into accurate technical drawings.

Participate in design review meetings and incorporate feedback into deliverables.

Maintain accurate records of design changes and ensure compliance with QA/QC processes.

Prepare bills of materials and assist with cost estimates as required.

Learn and apply company‑specific design standards, procedures, and workflows.

Develop proficiency in GIS and other design‑related tools.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).

3+ years of experience in utility design or a related engineering discipline.

Familiarity with electric utility systems and construction practices.

Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
