
Communications Specialist

This role works approximately 28 hours per week. Sundays are required.
Responsibilities
Work with team to assemble compelling and creative content including photo, video, copy, Marketing Materials and design
Capture video and photo content during weekend services and events across all campuses
Edit all material and keep an organized archive of all media
Manage social media accounts, upload new content, and schedule posts throughout the week
Drive content calendars to ensure continuous and optimized presence on web and social platforms
Explores new ways to utilize existing content on a variety of social platforms in order to extend series content and the weekend experience throughout the week
Help to develop social strategies to reach and connect people in our region to The Bay Church
Engage with our followers of all platforms, watch metrics and analytics to keep engagement high
Key Qualifications
Core competencies: Action Oriented, Time Management, Interpersonal Savvy, Drive For Results, Self Awareness
Experience working with creative teams, building and collaborating on great work
The ability to be a part of a cross-functional team yet also have the ability to lead in some settings
Experience in filming and editing- from strategy through execution, with proven ability to create high quality video
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, Canva, etc.
Proficiency leading and marketing with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, etc.)
The ability to set and meet deadlines, while managing multiple projects at one time
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Successfully build rapport with staff as well as equip volunteers with what they need
