About the role | Ko te mahi nei Working with an awesome marketing team and business groups from across the organisation, the role of Marketing Assistant involves:

Assisting with project marketing and communications initiatives across the Council

Preparing marketing plans, co‑ordinating marketing activity, and writing post‑campaign reports

Keeping residents and key stakeholders informed and engaged in the Council's activities, services and decision making

Supporting the development of marketing and communications strategies to reach and communicate with Ōtautahi Christchurch's diverse communities

Providing administration support to the unit

In addition to being a tertiary qualified professional, our ideal applicant will:

Have a good understanding of digital marketing and knowledge of communicating on digital channels including Social Media, eDM, Meta and web

Be well organised and able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Have the ability to work in a complex environment

Have a talent for relationship building

Location – This position is primarily based at Te Hononga, Christchurch City Council Civic Offices – 53 Hereford Street

Salary – The salary band for this position goes from $67,635 to $75,150 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
