Southern Reporting, Inc., a well‑established freelance court reporting firm based in Columbia, SC, is seeking
remote and in‑person digital court reporters
to support our growing statewide workload. We’ve served clients across South Carolina for more than 20 years and welcome applicants from any region.
What We Offer
A detailed, reliable scheduling team that typically books assignments 1–2 weeks in advance
A responsive production team available to assist and answer questions quickly
Consistent biweekly direct deposit for completed and delivered work
What We’re Looking For This is a
1099 independent contractor
position. Many of our reporters work with multiple firms, so reliability, communication, and honoring commitments are essential. We are seeking reporters who can:
Independently capture and securely maintain the record
Run a reliable backup program throughout proceedings
Take detailed notes and maintain strict confidentiality
Qualifications
Experience as a digital court reporter or graduation from a digital court reporting program
Commitment to our core values:
quality, integrity, professionalism, gratitude, and ownership
Ability to cover remote and/or in‑person assignments within your chosen areas
