Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Real Estate Title Examiner to join our growing team. This is a hybrid position, requiring both remote work and in-person research at county deed offices as needed. Candidates must reside in Georgia and be able to travel within assigned coverage areas.
The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of on-the-ground title examination experience, a strong understanding of Georgia title standards, and the ability to work independently while producing accurate, high-quality title reports.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive title examinations for residential and commercial properties using public and private records
Research chain of title using legal descriptions and grantor/grantee indexes
Perform paperless title examinations
Analyze and interpret Metes & Bounds and Section Land legal descriptions
Compile clear, accurate title reports detailing ownership history, deeds, liens, judgments, and other encumbrances
Identify discrepancies or defects in title and elevate issues for further review when necessary
Maintain compliance with internal quality standards, procedures, and turnaround times
Work independently within assigned counties while collaborating with internal team members
Perform additional related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of on-the-ground title examination experience
Demonstrated experience researching Georgia county records
Strong working knowledge of Georgia Title Standards
Ability to perform paperless title examinations
Advanced understanding of Metes & Bounds and Section Land descriptions
Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, PDF tools, and general computer systems
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to county deed offices as needed
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must reside in Georgia
