We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Associate to join the Commercial Real Estate Appraisal team in our Valuation Advisory Services practice within one of our offices. This position is hybrid – most professionals are located within commuting distance of an office, and our team members are encouraged to be in the office on average 3 days a week.

Your Team This position will support our Valuation Advisory group, which provides a wide suite of services to clients. As a member of this team, you’ll interact with team members across all levels within the practice.

Your Role Responsibilities

Design scope of work for engagements.

Complete market analyses and prepare all 3 traditional approaches to value.

Oversee and prepare real estate appraisals covering a variety of assets and uses.

Prepare and oversee fair value engagements for financial reporting.

Responsible for quality control and accuracy of client deliverables.

Perform site visits, identify equipment across several industries, and prepare subsequent reports.

Improve internal processes, procedures, policies, analyses, and models.

Develop Excel models as needed.

Mentor staff.

Your Experience Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

3+ years of experience performing a variety of commercial real estate appraisals and consulting analyses.

Previous experience performing fair value engagements for financial reporting is a plus.

Must hold or be working toward a certified general appraisal trainee license; a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser License is a plus.

Proven experience in financial modeling and real estate, including ARGUS.

Familiarity with report writing software, CoStar, and MLS.

Experience and passion for real estate.

Comprehensive knowledge of valuation methodologies and real estate terminology.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Flexibility of work schedule to meet client needs.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause determination skills.

Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

In Illinois, the salary range for a Senior Associate is $80,000 to $130,000. Compensation within the range depends on skills, experience, and location.
