General Description Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position performs complex (journey‑level) building maintenance and construction for Goliad State Park Historic Site. Responsibilities include daily operation and maintenance of park facilities, grounds, and equipment; operating equipment such as trucks, tractors, mowers, hand tools, and power tools; providing visitor services (issuing permits, collecting revenue, registering visitors); assisting in enforcing park rules; performing resource management tasks; interpreting natural resources; completing reports; and performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School graduation or GED.

Experience: Three years of facility, equipment, or grounds maintenance.

Licensure: Valid Texas state driver’s license.

Retention contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required licenses.

Acceptable Substitutions Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the required experience, up to a maximum of two years.

Construction, repair, maintenance and operation of buildings, equipment and utility systems.

Building materials and general facility, equipment and grounds maintenance.

Basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, masonry, janitorial and mechanical maintenance tasks.
