We are working with a mission‑lead beauty brand in Los Angeles, CA to find their next Social Media Manager who can also create content (edit reels, posts).

We are seeking a

Social Media Manager & Content Creator

who lives and breathes digital culture, storytelling, and conscious beauty. This role is equal parts strategist and creator, someone who not only understands how to grow and engage an audience, but can also bring the brand to life through visually compelling, scroll‑stopper content.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how our brand shows up across platforms, building a community that believes in redefining beauty, aging, and self‑expression. This is an opportunity to work with a clean, conscious beauty brand that challenges outdated narratives and inspires a more empowered, modern perspective.

This is a contract role

Location: Remote; Los Angeles, CA (must currently live in Los Angeles, CA for occasional on‑site)

Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Execution

Concept, shoot, and edit high‑quality content including videos, Reels, TikToks, and carousels

Create platform‑native content optimized for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging channels

Bring fresh, innovative ideas that align with trends while staying true to brand identity

Social Media Strategy & Management

Develop and execute a cohesive social media strategy to grow audience, engagement, and brand awareness

Manage day‑to‑day posting, scheduling, and platform optimization

Identify and leverage trends, sounds, and cultural moments in a way that feels elevated and on‑brand

Monitor performance metrics and optimize content based on insights and analytics

Brand Storytelling & Community Building

Translate brand values into compelling narratives that challenge traditional beauty and aging standards

Engage with the community through comments, DMs, and conversations to build loyalty and trust

Creative Direction & Collaboration

Contribute to the overall visual and voice direction of the brand across platforms

Help identify and collaborate with influencers, creators, and brand advocates

Qualifications

3–5+ years of experience in social media management and content creation, preferably in beauty, wellness, or lifestyle

Strong portfolio showcasing video content, social campaigns, and creative storytelling

Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and evolving platform trends

Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, in‑app editing tools)

Strong eye for aesthetics, composition, and brand consistency

Comfortable being behind (and occasionally in front of) the camera

Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

Passion for clean beauty, conscious living, and redefining aging narratives

Video editing skills (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, etc.)
