In short, We Enable Possibility(SM).**Position Summary:**The Assistant Vice President of Arch MMS is responsible for the technical underwriting and account management of Middle Market Property and Casualty programs, targeting the Hospitality, Manufacturing, Real Estate, and Financial Institutions industries. This includes working with retail brokers to attract and retain these accounts. This candidate can sit hybrid or remote near Boston, MA, Providence RI or Hartford, CT.**Responsibilities and Accountabilities:*** Underwrite, maintain, and grow a profitable book of Property and Casualty business including Workers Compensation, General Liability, Automobile, and Umbrella/Excess placements.* Evaluate and prioritize submissions, analyze exposures and coverage requests.* Determine pricing and negotiate program offering, manage all post bind activities.* Negotiate and place facultative reinsurance.* Develop and maintain relationships with retail brokers.* Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing insureds through frequent engagement and annual stewardship.* Collaborate with internal team members to deliver excellent service to brokers and clients.**Required Skills and Abilities:*** Well-developed active listening, problem solving mindset and interpersonal skills for developing and strengthening broker and client relationships.* Excellent analytic, communications skills, business writing, and oral presentation skills.* Understanding and knowledge of exposure identification and analysis.* Well-developed business acumen to understand performance metrics, develop and implement profitable growth strategy.* Strong organizational skills to successfully manage multiple submissions and insureds.* Ability to influence, capable of working independently and interdependently.* Sound technology capabilities in Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.**Education and Experience:*** College degree preferred.* At least five (5) to eight (8) plus years of related experience.* Additional industry-specific study or designations (such as CPCU and ARM) preferred.* Middle Market Accounts experience preferred, guaranteed cost program structures.#LI-AM3#LI-Remote#LI-HybridFor individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.$123,400 - $191,627 base + 16% target bonus* Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.
