
Temporary Assistant Director for Community & Civic Engagement

Coordinate and promote programming related to Community and Civic Engagement including:
Oversee the Ambassadors of Civic Engagement (ACE’s) Program
Chair UB Votes Committee and oversee voter registration tasks during Orientation
Support planning for Ready, Set, Buffalo! and the Spring Alternative Break Program
Serve as a site leader for Days of Service (9/11 Day of Service and Community Day)
Lead voter engagement and education initiatives for the mid-term elections including election day support for voters at on campus polling site(s)
Collaborate on the Experience UB Fair, taking the lead on voter registration and Constitution Day tables
Fulfill presentations, trainings, and workshops as requested by faculty, staff, students and community partners
Plan for the Community & Civic Engagement Film Festival
Support students engaged in on-campus activism via the Freedom of Assembly Support Team (FAST); attend Student Activism Support Committee meetings
Supervise a graduate student and several undergraduate student employees
Assign tasks, manage performance
Coordinate scheduling and complete time and attendance functions
Support the other functional areas of Student Engagement
Assist in planning and implementation of large-scale campus-wide, pride & traditions programming (Opening Weekend and Family Weekend)
Administrative tasks to include recieving and sending communication to stakeholders, students and members of the UB community
Assist with budget monitoring and tasks, assessment, and reporting
Coordinate clubs’ portion of Campus Fest, student club/organization showcases, re-registrations and troubleshooting
