Real Estate Closer/Paralegal
Wessels, White, & Earley, P.C., Augusta, GA, United States
OVERVIEW
Wessels, White, & Earley, P.C. is seeking a Closer who serves as the quarterback of the transaction — guiding files from contract to closing with precision, communication, and confidence. This is a high-impact, client-facing role for someone who thrives at the intersection of relationships and execution. You are the central point of contact for agents, lenders, buyers, and sellers — ensuring the details are handled, questions get answered, and every closing runs smoothly.
You don’t just move files forward — you carry them across the finish line. From contract to closing, you bring calm to the chaos by helping create an experience that feels organized, professional, and genuinely enjoyable.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather required buyer and seller information.
Review title reports, resolve issues and prepare accurate title commitments to ensure every file is ready for closing.
Prepare settlement statements, closing disclosures and all final closing documentation.
Balance files, issue title insurance policies, and handle funding — disbursing by check or wire with precision.
Step in to assist across the process (as needed) — whether that’s on the front end or the back end, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
Provide best-in-class service to clients, teammates, and partners in a fast-paced environment.
Jump in wherever needed for support — around here, helping is a team sport.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
You stay cool, calm, and collected — No matter what’s happening in the background, you’re the calm presence that reassures clients and teammates in order to get the deal closed.
You handle a high volume of files with professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail. Fast-paced, high-pressure environments don’t rattle you — they bring out your best.
You’re fluent in a digital-first workflow — comfortable navigating closing software, scanning docs, and managing files on-screen. Around here, paper is for the finish line, not the race.
You build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and partners, making the closing experience smooth and personable.
You embrace cross-training and “helping wherever needed,” knowing that each time you stretch into a new task, it’s a win‑win: you grow your skills and the firm gets stronger.
*Position requirements and success criteria are subject to change. We’re always growing and improving, which means role expectations will evolve over time. Flexibility is key — as the firm grows, so will you.
LOCATION(S) This is an in‑office role supporting both our Augusta, GA and North Augusta, SC locations, where your presence is critical to our success. Being on‑site during office hours keeps our team connected, our clients supported, and our files moving smoothly.
JOB TYPE Full‑time

Personal Injury: Support clients through life’s unexpected challenges, advocating for them when they need it most.
Humble: Aware of your strengths and your blind spots? Willing to own your mistakes and learn from them?
Hospitable: Drawn to making clients feel like guests, anticipating their needs and make them feel at home?
Hungry: Goal‑oriented, career‑driven, and eager to grow every day?
Human: Empathetic, emotionally intelligent, and able to connect with others in a real, authentic way?
A Hunter: Naturally curious/resourceful? Do you take initiative and love solving problems?
Helpful: A team player who steps in where needed and believes no task is beneath you?
Humorous: Able to laugh at yourself, lighten the mood, and make work a little more fun for everyone around you?
Think you’d be a great fit for the work we do and the culture we’re building? If you’re ready to bring your skills, heart, and hustle to a growing firm that puts people first, we’d love to hear from you.
