DESCRIPTION Special Projects & Social Media Associate The PIT – New York City
The PIT is seeking a sharp, creative, and highly organized Special Projects & Social Media Associate to work directly with the theater’s founder and leadership team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is excited to contribute both strategically and hands‑on across programming, partnerships, and digital presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the founder on special projects, including new shows, partnerships, and events
Coordinate across producers, performers, and external collaborators
Assist in developing and executing social media strategy (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
Create and manage engaging content that reflects The PIT’s voice and community
Track performance metrics and identify growth opportunities
Help streamline communication and ensure projects move efficiently from idea to execution
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience managing social media accounts (professional or personal with clear voice)
Interest in comedy, improv, and live theater
Ability to multitask and adapt quickly
Self‑starter with a collaborative mindset
Bonus:
Experience in theater production, comedy, or live events
Basic design or video editing skills
Familiarity with NYC comedy/theater scene
Details:
Part‑time / flexible hours (with potential to grow)
NYC‑based (in‑person collaboration expected)
