Position: Assets Protection Team Leader at Target, Allen, TX area.

Pay range: $21.75 – $37.00 per hour (starting range $21.75 – $23.75). Pay is based on market, education, experience, and certifications.

All About Asset Protection Asset Protection (AP) teams keep guests, team members, and the brand secure, manage crisis events, mitigate shortage risks, and prevent theft and fraud. Effective AP leadership fosters relationships with store leaders and public safety officials.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a security culture, including crisis response, safety environment, and crowd management.

Implement daily/weekly AP workload priorities to support business goals.

Respond to external and internal theft incidents and prevent future theft.

Partner with store leaders on operational shortage priorities and merchandising protection.

Lead a team of hourly workers, leveraging interviewing, coaching, evaluating, and retention practices.

Maintain and execute the store’s safety and security plans, including emergency response.

Analyze theft and shortage trends; develop tactics to reduce losses and drive sales.

Develop, coach, and support team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Manage schedules, staffing needs, and budget for merchandise protection devices.

Provide timely incident reports, conduct investigations, and support legal proceedings.

Maintain required trainings, safety meetings, and best‑practice compliance.

All other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

18 years old or older.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Meeting all state or local licensure/other legal requirements.

Previous retail or loss prevention experience preferred.

Strong leadership and accountability skills.

Proficient with communication devices, handheld scanners, and other technology.

Independent and team-oriented work style.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak periods.

Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb ladders.

Reliability and prompt attendance.
