Federal Growth & Strategy Lead
Differential AI, Washington, District of Columbia, United States
Differential AI is a
Ivy League PhD-inspired AI/ML startup
that creates AI models and generates datasets for enterprise clients across various use cases. Founded on principles derived from brand new PhD research, our technology offers compelling value propositions:
Private & Secure : Models run entirely offline, ensuring complete data privacy
Ultra-Efficient : 7,000x smaller models than conventional solutions
Cost-Effective : Up to 83% reduction in expensive training costs
We are a post-revenue company with locked-down intellectual property, currently entertaining a seed funding round. Our founding team consists of 2 AI/ML/Data Science PhDs and 1 MBA, with advanced degrees from Brown, Harvard, and Georgetown. We operate fully remotely.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will lead our government contracting lifecycle. You’ll be the one filing the paperwork, mapping the stakeholders at Lockheed and Northrop, and drafting the technical responses for SBIRs and RFIs
Entity Management:
Own the UEI and SAM.gov lifecycle. Ensure our representations and certifications are bulletproof.
Security & Compliance:
Spearhead our CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) program and prepare us for CMMC Level 2 readiness. You’ll be setting up the protocols that make us acquirable
Prime Hunting:
Identify and pitch to Small Business Liaison Officers (SBLOs) at major Primes (Lockheed, Raytheon, Booz Allen) to get us added to their approved vendor lists
Proposal Lead:
Write and submit SBIR/STTR Phase I & II applications. You’ll translate our AI capabilities into "government-speak."
Market Intelligence:
Monitor GovWin, Sam.gov, and Tradewinds for AI-specific solicitations that fit our tech stack
COMPENSATION:
Equity Package:
Significant equity stake with 3-year vesting schedule. You are willing to start off with a base pay comprised only of equity shares
Performance Accelerators:
Bonuses for achieving key milestones (first government contract, prime contractor partnership, etc.)
YOUR PROFILE:
Experience:
1–6 years in federal contracting, defense tech, or a GovTech startup. You’ve seen the process, but you’re still "in the trenches" enough to do the work yourself
Technical Acumen:
Ability to
articulate AI/ML capabilities
and translate them into mission-critical solutions for national security applications
Networker:
You know how to navigate a LinkedIn thread or a DC industry day to find the actual decision-makers
Entrepreneurial Mindset:
Comfortable operating in a startup environment; ability to build sales processes from the ground up and wear multiple hats
