The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical and consultative support to agricultural employers across an assigned geographic region within the state. This role requires a strong understanding of Division of Workforce Solutions (DWS) programs and services, as well as the ability to effectively assist employers, local office staff, and community partners.Key responsibilities include providing training and technical guidance to agricultural employers and career center staff; interpreting federal and state regulations; ensuring compliance and consistency across programs; establishing program objectives; analyzing operational effectiveness; and producing required reports. This position also serves as a liaison between local career centers, the Regional Operations Director, and central office staff.Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conducting on‐site agricultural employer visits

• Facilitating and posting job orders in NCWorks

• Advising employers on state and federal farm labor laws and regulatory updates

• Providing migrant housing consultations

• Inspecting rental and/or public accommodations

• Conducting H‐2A post‐certification visits

• Assisting farm labor contractors with registration, renewals, and federal licensing updatesThis position also plays an active role in the development and promotion of agricultural apprenticeships, sector partnerships, internship programs, and on‐the‐job training opportunities. The employee integrates knowledge of economic trends, labor market conditions, and state/industry demands to support the creation and oversight of high‐quality workforce development initiatives.Additional responsibilities may include employer and community relations, developing and modifying contracts, responding to RFPs, addressing program‐related challenges, and contributing to staff recruitment and outreach efforts.This position performs essential Wagner‐Peyser employer services and foreign labor certification (FLC) field duties as outlined in the state’s Agricultural Outreach Plan and FLC grant. The Agricultural Business Services Representative works closely with outreach staff to ensure Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers have access to job opportunities and full participation in the state’s workforce development system.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:****To receive credit for your work history and credentials, you must provide the information on the application form.
