Position Summary Vitro is looking for a senior-level art director. If you’re a quick learner with a passion for type and design, making comps that capture and convey ideas, we want to hear from you! Please note that this is a full-time, hybrid-remote position based in San Diego and requires a minimum of three in-office days each week.
What you’ll do:
Partner with a copywriter to generate and present creative concepts within given deadlines.
Design and lay out print and digital executions, storyboards and other visual media.
Work with Account Service to understand client needs and strategic requirements for work.
Collaborate with CD to take direction and craft concepts accordingly.
Present concepts to clients when called upon.
Engage with production (broadcast, digital, art) to craft final creative product.
Actively learn and craft core creative talents and presentation skills.
Contribute new ideas and creative design solutions.
Align with clients and senior team members across departments to heighten a brand’s significance and performance.
Stay current on design trends, tools, and emerging platforms.
Requirements
Minimum
5 years of experience
as an Art Director in a creative agency
Passionate self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment.
Strong portfolio showing concept-driven, multi-channel work
Solid foundation in typography, layout, and visual storytelling
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; Figma and motion skills are a plus
Understanding of digital and social best practices
Collaborative mindset and strong communication skillsDetail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow
