Job Description Medical Collections Specialist: The clerk supports the collections team in daily functions for Praesum Healthcare and all affiliates by performing assigned duties.
Responsibilities
Creates daily reports for patient accounts; Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
Calls patients to notify them of balances
Creates and sends patient statements
Posts credit card payments daily (payment plans from collectors)
Runs monthly statement Detox & IOP review statements for high balances and unadjusted claims
Works on write‑off accounts
Follows up on returned mail (incorrect address, etc.)
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
1‑year experience in collections
High call volume experience
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Outgoing personality and comfortable on the phone with patients
Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multi‑task
Schedule
Full Time
9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Monday – Friday
