Event Manager
Weathermatic, Dallas, TX, United States
Weathermatic is an irrigation hardware and technology company helping landscape contractors and commercial real estate operators manage water smarter. Events are central to how we grow — from SmartCon, our annual partner conference, to a national calendar of trade shows, technical trainings, and boutique roundtables targeting Fortune 500 and REIT decision-makers.
We’re looking for an Event Manager to own this portfolio — and turn it into a precision GTM lever. With ROI tracking, HubSpot integration, purpose-built playbooks, and a calendar strategy that connects every event to pipeline and revenue, this role transforms an event-heavy program into a measurable growth engine.
This role is for someone who loves building systems as much as executing events, and who gets energized by the moment a room full of prospects turns into a pipeline of real opportunities.
What You’ll Own SmartCon — Our Flagship Annual Conference (Partner Deepening)
Serve as the day-to-day execution lead for SmartCon 2027 — working closely with the Sr. Marketing Manager who owns strategic direction
Build and run the registration campaign calendar as a 12-month program — not a 3-week sprint
Manage our production partner relationship (HelmsBriscoe) for on-site execution, logistics, and venue sourcing
Drive prospect engagement strategy for SmartCon
Own Accelevents setup, badge printing, session tracking, survey delivery, and CE certification workflows
Annual Events Calendar — Events for Pipeline Generation, Channel Enablement, and Brand Authority
Own our trade show, conference, and regional event calendar from kickoff to post-event follow-up — independently within 30–60 days
Build the master events calendar as the single source of truth for the org
Develop templated playbooks for each event purpose (Flagship, Trade Show, Training, National Accounts) so execution is consistent and scalable
Recommend which events to add, cut, or reclassify each year based on ROI data
Technical Training Events — A Largely Untapped Channel
Add a marketing layer to our existing technical training program — pre-event outreach, post-event follow-up, HubSpot sync
Coordinate with our Training Manager on content, certification tracking, and attendee experience
Open training events to prospects for the first time, creating pipeline from an existing infrastructure
National Accounts Events
Partner with our National Accounts Executive Director to support boutique, invite-only events for Fortune 500 and REIT decision-makers
Support planning for CBRE’s annual leadership event and similar high-value national programs
Coordinate bookend event strategies: hosted dinners, roundtables, and networking plays around major industry conferences
Systems & Measurement
Own Accelevents platform administration across all event types
Ensure every registered attendee syncs into HubSpot within 24 hours via the Accelevents integration (working with MOPs on the workflow side)
Deliver event ROI reports: leads captured, cost per lead, opportunities influenced, revenue attributed
What We’re Looking For Required
3+ years managing B2B events — trade shows, conferences, or user events
Demonstrated ability to manage a full annual calendar of multiple simultaneous events
Experience with event technology platforms (Accelevents, Cvent, Eventbrite, or similar) at an admin level
Strong project management skills — you live by run-of-show documents and checklists
Comfortable with HubSpot or similar CRM for post-event contact management and follow-up
Nice to Have
Experience in landscape, irrigation, green industry, or commercial real estate verticals
Background managing outsourced production partners or DMC relationships
Copywriting ability — you can draft an event email or social post without handing it off
Experience building event ROI reports that connect events to pipeline and revenue
Familiarity with Accelevents specifically
Familiarity with Notion — a core piece of our marketing and operations stack
WordPress familiarity — all current web properties are WordPress
You only want to work on large flagship events — the majority of this role is trade shows, training events, and building systems
You need a fully documented calendar and playbooks handed to you on Day 1 — you’re building them
You need an events support team and aren’t comfortable being the only fully dedicated events person in the building (for now)
Rigid schedules are your best friend - our events calendar is robust and requires travel, nights, and weekends
Why Weathermatic
SmartCon is at the center of our GTM motion — you’ll be a key contributor to the event where a meaningful percentage of our new customer pipeline gets started or closed. That’s a career-defining program to have on your résumé.
Events are the strategy, not a support function — this role is at the center of how Weathermatic grows
Greenfield calendar — no one has owned this before. You’ll build the playbook from scratch.
Direct line to leadership — event results go to the President’s desk
Growth path — an Events Coordinator hire follows when volume justifies it; you’d build and lead that team
Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000 base salary + benefits · Hybrid in Garland, TX
