Senior Catering Sales Manager
Kanteen Catering, San Francisco, CA, United States
The Opportunity
Kanteen is not looking for a traditional order-taker. We are seeking a high-energy, strategically-minded
Catering Sales & Account Specialist
to act as the face of our premium catering brand. This is a "builder" role designed for a professional with a strong educational background and a talent for high-stakes relationship management.
As we scale, this individual will not just manage accounts; they will help define our sales engine. For a candidate who demonstrates exceptional execution and ownership, this role offers a
direct trajectory toward a Director or Leadership position
within our hospitality ecosystem.
The Role You will be the primary architect of the client journey—from the first inquiry to the final toast. You’ll thrive here if you enjoy the "hunt" of new business as much as the "craft" of executing a flawless $50K wedding or corporate gala.
Beyond Kanteen’s core events, you will strategically integrate our sister brands,
Sproutly
and
VARQ Sweets , into your client solutions, offering a sophisticated, multi-brand hospitality experience that sets us apart from the competition.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Lead Generation:
Identify and secure high-value partnerships with local venues, planners, and corporate offices.
End-to-End Account Management:
Lead tastings, site visits, and virtual consultations; you are the expert the client trusts.
Precision Documentation:
Create polished, customized proposals and detailed internal workflows that ensure our kitchen and service teams execute perfectly.
Portfolio Growth:
Master the nuances of our various brands to maximize account value through thoughtful cross-selling.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required. We value a strong academic foundation and a commitment to continuous learning.
Professional Polish:
You must possess "executive presence"—the ability to communicate with high-net-worth individuals and corporate decision-makers with confidence and impeccable written etiquette.
The "Growth" Mindset:
We are looking for a career-oriented professional. This is not a "job"; it is a seat at the table of a fast-growing company.
Technical Savvy:
Ability to manage sales CRM tools, draft complex contracts, and coordinate remote workflows.
Logistics:
While we offer a flexible work-from-home structure, onsite presence for key events and site visits is a non-negotiable part of our commitment to quality.
What We Offer
Competitive Base + Performance Incentives:
High-upside bonus structure tied to growth.
Hybrid Flexibility:
A modern work environment that trusts you to manage your own schedule.
Mentorship & Advancement:
Direct access to ownership and a clear path to leadership as the company expands.
