A Program Director job is currently available through PRADCO. You will lead trained instructors as they deliver programming to more than 200 middle and high schools, educating teens about anxiety, depression, and the warning signs for suicide. They are a small office environment comprised of very committed team players, located in Chagrin Falls, OH.

General Description of Duties

  • Manage a team of dedicated Instructors and staff members. Management includes overseeing program technology, individual instructor needs related to scheduling, OCPSA Certification process, observing and supporting instructors in schools, and ongoing training of new and current Instructors.
  • Cultivate relationships between school staff through in-person or virtual meetings in order to gain insight into school needs and processes.
  • Working with Program Staff, ensures that Program efficacy metrics are maintained and State Certification requirements are met.
  • Develop new channels of delivery for proven youth suicide prevention program that will enable continued, organic growth of our existing model, and provide for exponential growth in new demographic and geographic areas.
  • Oversee existing programs, Suicide Prevention (SP), Stress Management (SM), QPR & Stress Management and adjust when necessary.
  • Spearhead the development and design of new program content utilizing LUCY by FORM (presentation-building software). Maintain & update all manuals, SOPs, outlines, and program documents. Develop communication pieces and marketing materials along with Program Committee, Youth Advisory Board (YAB), University Hospital partners, and other Program Staff during summer months.
  • Market new programming to school districts, mental health organizations, governmental agencies, and funders.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with key stakeholders, institutions, and interested groups.
  • Engage and empower youth directly in the design and dissemination of educational message. New models could include alternative programming, delivery methods, peer-to-peer programs, or mediums.
  • Be fully trained in all curriculum and able to deliver any program when it may be required.
  • Oversee management of technology, including iPads and Apple IT asset management platform Mosyle.
  • Appropriately manage and create a programming budget, tracking throughout the year to stay on target.
  • Act as staff liaison for the Associate Board and the Youth Advisory Board (YAB).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in education or in related mental health field
  • Prior teaching experience or work in an academic environment
  • Knowledge of adolescent mental health
  • Minimum of three years of administrative experience including management responsibility for staff, budgeting, program planning, and assessment.
  • Track record of success in program development, implementation, and expansion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of electronic curriculum design and distribution
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical, systems skills, and a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
  • Proven success in curriculum development.
  • Must have or pass OCPSA certification within two (2) years upon start of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree in Education/Social Work/Mental Health preferred
  • Knowledge of mental health education, assessment, and crisis intervention practices.
  • Certification in a mental health specialty, examples include:
  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW / LISW)
  • Peer Recovery Supporter (PRS)
  • Certified Peer Recovery Supporter (CPRS) (Adult, Family, Youth)
  • Certification as a Community Behavioral Health Services (CBHS)
  • Experience in the use of the Internet as a marketing channel.
  • Exceptionally strong writing skills, especially for digital media.
  • In-depth understanding of social media is a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat) and Microsoft Access is a plus.
  • Experience in Research methods and presentation is a plus

Responsibilities Include

  • Recruit, identify, train, onboard and manage day-to-day activities of approximately 11 classroom instructors, and Program Staff
  • Provide leadership in the maintenance and development of Suicide Prevention and Stress Management Programs, as well as delivery, implementation and quality assurance in additional programs, QPR & Stress Management
  • Supervise and train instructors
  • Performance reviews of direct reports including instructors
  • Create and implement a continuous program of process improvement and professional development
  • Develop and produce new program materials, as needed
  • Develop and implement a long-term growth strategy for program expansion
  • Coordinate monthly Instructor meetings, professional development and in-service training
  • Provide Marketing leadership in presenting program to potential schools, school districts, educational associations and governmental agencies
  • Act as liaison to the Associate Board and Youth Advisory Board.
  • Promote and grow the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) through promotion and connection with school contacts and administration
  • Use creativity & innovation to increase program awareness to parents, school administration, and the community
  • Liaison to multiple community agencies, hospital networks and professionals that provide supplemental services and support with CEO
  • Assist with staffing and participation in events including community resource tables, fundraising events such as (Links For Life, Move for Mental Health)
  • Maintain all documentation, procedures and other requirements for the maintenance of State Certification (OHMAS / ODBH)
  • Work and assist the Development & Grant personnel in tracking and creating reports for analysis.
  • Collaborate and be a member of the Program Committee of the Board

Other

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Some travel may be required (minimal but possible overnight travel 3-6 times per year).
  • Applicant will submit to standard pre-employment testing and background verification including the FBI and BCI background checks
