Join our client’s team as the Director of Finance and play a critical role in driving financial strategy and performance in a private equity–backed environment. In this role, you’ll lead their FP&A function, manage a high-performing team, and serve as an in‑house expert in financial modeling, forecasting, and value‑creation analytics. We’re seeking a strategic, hands‑on finance leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment and understands the rigor, accountability, and data‑driven decision‑making that define sponsor‑backed organizations. This role will partner closely with the CFO, executive leadership team, and private equity sponsors to enhance financial visibility, strengthen operational discipline, and support initiatives that drive enterprise value creation.
How YOU Will Spend YOUR Days
- Maintain and enhance the organization’s three statement financial model as required.
- Drive monthly and annual financial reporting packages for executive leadership and the Board.
- Complete analysis and reporting to lenders and investors, including presentation of financials, equity waterfalls, borrowing bases, covenants, and EBITDA adjustments.
- Execute and enhance budgeting and forecasting by collaborating with the CEO, CFO, operational leaders, and the company’s private equity owner.
- Support the sales team through sales pipeline analysis, pricing trends, and other customer analyses.
- Develop, analyze, and report on KPIs and performance analyses that provide actionable business insights.
- Support M&A, capital raises, and strategic initiatives with detailed financial modeling and analysis.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the FP&A team, fostering a culture of accountability, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CFO and executive team.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Sales, IT, and HR to evaluate business performance and growth initiatives.
- Identify risks and opportunities and proactively recommend corrective actions.
- Improve financial systems, reporting tools, and planning infrastructure to enhance scalability and automation.
What YOU Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required. CPA, CFA, and/or MBA is preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Advanced financial modeling expertise, including building integrated 3‑statement models from the ground up.
- History of taking initiative, working, and communicating with executives.
- High ownership mentality and ability to operate in ambiguity.
- Excellent accounting fundamentals.
- Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines during peak activity.
- Ability to translate numbers into concise themes that are actionable, leveraging data visualization.
- Potential or past success in developing a team.
- Excellent computer skills, including advanced functionality in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
- Ability to balance hands‑on execution with team leadership.
- Experience with transaction documentation and credit agreements is preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with NetSuite is preferred.
