Position Overview

The Enterprise Risk Transformation Director serves as a leader responsible for advancing the modernization, integration, and execution of the company’s enterprise risk management strategy. Reporting to the Vice President, Enterprise Risk Operations and Transformation, this role drives transformation of the Enterprise Risk operating model, ensuring alignment across the three lines, clarity of risk accountabilities, and adoption of consistent frameworks, tools, and practices that strengthen the organization’s overall risk maturity.

Our Impact

The Enterprise Risk Management department oversees all enterprise risk activities and operations. This new department within Enterprise Risk consolidates functions and activities central to managing the overall risk of the enterprise. The department is responsible for advancing risk management of aggregate and interrelated risks, while leaders in Financial and Non-Financial Risk (compliance & operational risk) domains provide effective oversight of individual and related risks. This department’s functions include the Enterprise Risk Framework, methods and methodology, Enterprise-wide risk systems and implementation of the Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) Program; Risk Appetite, limit setting and monitoring, in conjunction with stress testing and capital planning as well as reporting of risk profiles to the board and executive level; Model Risk to manage the risk associated with the pervasive use of models across the enterprise.

Your Impact

  • Strategic Leadership and Transformation
    • Partner with the Vice President and Head of Enterprise Risk Management to shape and execute the multi-year transformation roadmap for Enterprise Risk, including modernization of processes, governance, and capabilities
    • Lead design and implementation of the Enterprise Risk operating model to improve integration, efficiency, and transparency across risk types and business divisions
    • Drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights, technology adoption, and simplification of risk practices
    • Serve as a key change leader, defining transformation milestones, leading adoption efforts, and ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and regulatory expectations
  • Governance and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Partner with business leaders, divisional risk officers, and second-line leaders to strengthen the risk culture, accountability, and effective challenge
    • Act as a strategic advisor to the Head of ERM and senior management on emerging risk trends, regulatory expectations, and best practices
    • Represent the ERM function in cross-functional forums and enterprise initiatives related to risk, transformation, and operational excellence

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise risk management, risk transformation, or related disciplines in financial services or a regulated industry
  • Proven success leading cross-functional transformation or operating model initiatives
  • Deep understanding of enterprise risk frameworks, independent risk assessment processes, governance structures, and regulatory expectations
  • Strong change leadership skills with demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage large-scale initiative
  • Strong decision‑making skills with the ability to work under pressure effectively to resolve critical issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences, including senior management and regulators, in a clear and actionable manner
  • Demonstrated track record of innovation in risk analytics, data infrastructure, or model governance practices.

  • Effective collaboration to build trust and increase efficiency across the three lines, including the business segment (I&CM, SF, and MF) and Finance Divisions, Enterprise Risk Division, and Internal Audit and with FHFA

  • Strong organization skills, analytical mindset, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment against tight deadlines

  • Ability to attract and develop risk talent

This position has an annualized market‑based salary range of $191,000 - $287,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
