We are seeking an experienced Vice President – Director Corporate Functional Partner for Back-Office Systems. This role serves as the technology and business partner for Corporate/Back Office functions (e.g., Finance, HR, Legal, Communications and related shared services), reporting to the Vice President Managing Director of Technology Production Operations. The Corporate Functional Partner (VP/Director) enables simple, common, enterprise-leverage platforms and capabilities while ensuring each function’s unique needs are understood, challenged appropriately, and met through scalable, secure, and compliant solutions. The role blends consultative partnership, product/platform leadership, and cross‑functional influence to deliver outcomes that improve productivity, reduce complexity, and strengthen enterprise governance.
Responsibilities
- Build trusted partnerships with senior leaders across Finance, HR, Legal, Communications, and other corporate functions to understand strategies, priorities, and pain points and translate them into a clear technology enablement approach.
- Lead discovery and requirements shaping with functional stakeholders by clarifying desired business outcomes, simplifying where possible, and ensuring requirements align to enterprise standards and reusable capabilities.
- Own the functional technology roadmap across corporate domains, balancing enterprise platform leverage with function‑specific needs, and ensuring priorities are aligned with business value and organizational capacity.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for end‑to‑end delivery across corporate functional initiatives, coordinating across Engineering, Architecture, Security, Data, Vendor Management, and Change/Training teams.
- Champion platform rationalization and standardization by reducing duplicative tools, driving adoption of common capabilities, leveraging cloud capabilities & modern technologies and enabling consistent processes, controls, and reporting.
- Establish and run governance forums (e.g., functional technology councils, steering committees, intake/prioritization cadences) to drive transparency, decision‑making, funding alignment, and risk management.
- Collaborate with functional teams to evaluate solution options, including process redesign, configuration‑first approaches, system enhancements & upgrades, and integration opportunities, bringing practical recommendations to the table.
- Collaborate with Technology teams to ensure non‑functional requirements are defined and implemented into the platforms that enable the functional technology.
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, Privacy, and Legal stakeholders to ensure solutions meet regulatory obligations, audit expectations, data protection standards, and internal controls (including segregation of duties where applicable).
- Manage vendor and partner relationships for relevant enterprise platforms and tools, including performance management, contract neogiation & alignment, roadmap influence, and cost/value optimization.
- Define success measures (OKRs/KPIs) for functional and technology outcomes, track benefits realization, and continuously improve services based on adoption, user experience, operational stability, and cost efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a team (directly or through matrixed leadership) to deliver consistent stakeholder engagement, high‑quality execution, and strong operational rigor.

- Proven experience with program and project management, able to lead cross‑functional delivery through matrixed teams using Agile and/or hybrid delivery methods.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including process mapping, root cause analysis, and benefits/value modeling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in technology, product/platform leadership, or business technology partnership roles, including enterprise‑scale delivery.
- 5+ years leading teams and/or large cross‑functional programs with significant stakeholder complexity.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with corporate functions such as Finance, HR, Legal, Communications, Procurement, Risk/Compliance, or similar shared services.
- Experience working in a regulated industry (financial services strongly preferred) with familiarity navigating compliance, audit, privacy, and security expectations.
- Proven ability to drive platform standardization and simplification while maintaining strong customer experience and functional outcomes.
- Experience managing third‑party vendors and enterprise software relationships (contracts, performance, roadmap alignment).
