Our client is a venture-backed, stealth-mode oncology platform developing next-generation survivorship infrastructure that modernizes and scales long-term cancer follow-up care. We integrate evidence-based clinical frameworks, technology-enabled workflows, and diagnostics into accessible, high-quality survivorship models.
Position Summary
As the first dedicated finance resource, you will play a central role in building the company's financial infrastructure from the ground up. You will own dedicated workstreams around finance systems, controlling, and business planning — working closely with the leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to shape core financial processes at an early stage and grow with the company.
The Role
Finance Systems & Processes:
- Support the selection and drive the implementation of core financial management and accounting systems (e.g., cloud-based accounting software, billing and revenue management, payment infrastructure)
- Establish and document financial workflows, approval processes, and internal controls
- Manage day-to-day coordination with external partners such as tax advisors, auditors, and banking partners
Controlling:
- Build and maintain the controlling framework including cost center structures, P&L reporting, and KPI dashboards
- Prepare monthly financial reporting and variance analysis for leadership
- Monitor cash flow, burn rate, and runway; proactively flag risks and propose corrective actions
Business Planning & Budgeting:
- Develop and maintain the company's financial model, including revenue forecasts, cost projections, and scenario planning
- Support the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts
- Prepare investor-ready financials, business cases, and due diligence materials as needed.
The Candidate
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- CPA is preferred
- 7+ years of professional experience in finance, controlling, or accounting
- 3+ years in a start-up or scale-up environment; prior tech/SaaS, digital health, healthcare services or biotech is a plus
- Hands‑on experience implementing or working with financial management and accounting tools in a tech‑enabled or SaaS environment
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting skills
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity; able to build structure where none exists yet
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable wearing multiple hats
- Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
