Enterprise Quality Strategy & Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Business, Product, and Technology leadership, championing Quality Engineering practices across enterprise platforms and digital ecosystems.
- Define, own, and govern the enterprise Quality Engineering strategy, roadmap, operating model, and standards , aligned to modernization and transformation initiatives.
- Lead the shift from traditional testing models to automation‑first, risk‑based, and engineering‑driven quality practices to accelerate delivery and reduce manual effort.
- Embed quality as a shared accountability across Agile and Product teams through Shift Left , DevOps integration, and continuous quality practices.
- Influence enterprise technology strategy by advocating for improved testability, observability, automation, and release confidence , including tool selection.
Quality Engineering Execution & Governance
- Scale automation coverage across functional, regression, integration, performance, and non‑functional testing to reduce cycle time and reliance on manual testing.
- Embed Quality Engineering into cloud, digital, and platform modernization programs to ensure quality at scale.
- Establish and govern enterprise quality processes covering planning, execution, defect management, release readiness, and post‑release validation.
- Define and operationalize enterprise quality KPIs and dashboards (automation coverage, escaped defects, release health, cycle time, defect trends) to support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Provide executive‑level reporting on quality risks, readiness, trends, and remediation plans.
- Ensure regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements are met through strong traceability, reporting, and controlled quality processes.
- Align quality priorities with business risk, customer impact, and portfolio objectives.
People, Delivery & Financial Management
- Lead and develop global Quality Engineering teams across onshore, nearshore, and offshore locations.
- Establish clear accountability through operating models and RACI frameworks , enabling managers and leads to own delivery while the Director focuses on strategy and transformation.
- Mentor and grow future Quality Engineering leaders while fostering a culture of high performance, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Own the Quality Engineering financial strategy , including budgets, forecasts, vendor partnerships, contracts, and SOWs, ensuring value, scalability, and alignment with enterprise goals.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering, with 10+ years leading Quality Engineering teams through large‑scale enterprise transformation.
- Proven success modernizing testing frameworks and Quality Engineering practices within financial services or insurance environments (personal and commercial lines experience strongly preferred).
- Hands‑on experience with modern test automation and performance tools such as Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner , and other cloud‑based testing platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership in building enterprise automation frameworks , ideally within large core platforms (e.g., policy, billing, claims ecosystems).
- Experience converting high‑value regression and smoke tests from manual to automated suites, prioritizing risk and ROI , and integrating into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong experience modernizing quality practices across APIs, events, microservices, and data platforms , crafting strategies that cover both core systems and connected digital ecosystems.
- Proven ability to lead geographically distributed teams and external partners , driving accountability through structured operating models.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills with the ability to influence at the executive level.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment.
