Rate is building brands that show up in culture, not just in categories. We’re looking for a Director of Video Content & Production who knows how to create content that feels real, current, and worth watching.
This role will own the strategy and execution of lifestyle-driven video content that elevates Rate across social, digital, broadcast, and experiential channels. You’ll help shape how the brand shows up day to day, capturing stories that connect with people beyond transactions and position Rate as a brand consumers genuinely want to engage with.
If you live at the intersection of storytelling, culture, and execution and can take an idea from concept to final delivery without losing momentum, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the full video content lifecycle from concept through production and post
- Develop lifestyle-forward content including brand stories, social-first series, short-form video, testimonials, behind-the-scenes content, and event coverage
- Partner with marketing, creative, social, and executive leadership to translate strategy into compelling visual storytelling
- Build content calendars aligned to campaigns, product launches, and cultural moments
- Scout locations, coordinate talent and crews, and manage shoot logistics
- Direct on-set production while ensuring brand consistency and production quality
- Oversee editing, sound, color, motion graphics, and final asset delivery across platforms
- Optimize content for performance across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, paid media, web, and internal channels
- Track performance metrics and refine content based on engagement and conversion insights
- Build and manage relationships with freelance creators, influencers, and production partners
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience producing lifestyle, brand, or commercial video content
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates modern storytelling and social fluency
- Deep understanding of platform-native content and how audiences consume video today
- Ability to think strategically while staying hands-on in execution
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, and multiple projects at once
- Strong on-set presence with the ability to lead crews and collaborate cross-functionally
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Experience in financial services, consumer brands, or high-growth companies is a plus
