About The Role
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Sales to lead all sales operations for a well-established and growing home construction company in South Carolina. This executive role is responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing pricing and sales strategies, and maximizing return on investment across community developments.
You will lead a team of Sales Managers and agents while collaborating closely with executive leadership, finance, land acquisition, and operations teams to align sales performance with overall business objectives.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $150,000 – $165,000
  • Bonus potential: $50,000 – $100,000
  • Auto allowance: $6,000 – $12,000
  • Electronics allowance: $1,200
  • Comprehensive benefits package

  • Hybrid flexibility initially; transition to full-time onsite in the Columbia, SC area
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion
  • Maximize ROI on lot inventory through dynamic pricing, sales velocity, and market analysis
  • Balance price vs. pace to optimize long-term profitability and margin stability
  • Oversee sales release strategies, spec inventory planning, and lot takedown schedules
  • Align marketing investments with sales goals to improve absorption rates and brand positioning
  • Build forecasting models using pricing, incentives, and market data
Operations, Policies & Compliance
  • Establish and enforce sales SOPs, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with real estate laws, contracts, and company standards
  • Oversee contract preparation, negotiation, and approvals
  • Serve as escalation point for complex negotiations and customer issues
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Sales Managers and sales teams
  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to drive business results
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement
What You Bring
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Deep understanding of residential real estate sales and market dynamics
  • Ability to translate data into actionable sales strategies
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred (MBA a plus)
Additional Details
  • Travel primarily within South Carolina; occasional out-of-state travel required
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with both office and field responsibilities
