Podcast Producer Job at Dear Media in New York

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Podcast Producer to oversee the production of approximately 6 shows weekly across both audio and video. This role is critical in managing all aspects of podcast production, from creative development to distribution, while maintaining network protocols and ensuring the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Production Management The Podcast Producer will collaborate with talent to maintain consistent weekly podcast output and meet production schedules. They will work closely with talent to creatively develop and enhance shows while ensuring adherence to all network protocols and guidelines. The Producer will also oversee all recording operations, schedules, and logistics with talent, ensuring smooth production processes. Editing & Quality Control In collaboration with the editing team, the Producer will deliver polished episodes, addressing client feedback and maintaining high-quality standards. This includes applying professional editing judgment for optimal listening experiences and performing thorough quality checks on all episodes to ensure no errors are present. Distribution The Producer will manage the publishing and distribution of all episodes across listening and viewing platforms, ensuring timely and accurate releases. Regular communication with talent will be essential to strategize and brainstorm creative direction, provide feedback, and address issues. The Producer will elevate significant concerns or show performance declines to the Senior Director of Production and collect and communicate monthly roster updates across the network. Reporting & Analytics The Producer will conduct regular reviews with talent to analyze show performance and provide constructive feedback. They will also share monthly analytics updates with talent and the internal team. Managing the execution of ads weekly, the Producer will ensure all talking points and calls-to-action are included. Additionally, they will work with talent to craft compelling ad reads. Qualifications Proven experience in podcast production, including, editing and audio management. Experience using audio editing softwares (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Audacity). Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality. Familiarity with podcast analytics and distribution platforms. Understanding of advertising processes within podcasts is a plus.
