Outside Service Operations/Starter-Bagdrop
Wintonbury Hills Golf Course is now hiring for the opportunity of an Outside Service Operations/Starter-Bag Drop. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon. This position requires availability for early morning shifts (5am) on weekends and holidays. There are also some available closing shifts on weekdays and or weekends. There are approximately 4 shifts available. Key responsibilities of the Starter/Bag drop include: Greeting members and guests promptly and courteously upon their arrival. Working closely with the Golf Shop to verify tee times and confirm that players have paid the appropriate fees. Cuing groups to move to the first tee. Ensuring players begin their round on time, not ahead or behind. Completing the Starter's worksheet for each group and documenting player counts. Communicating with the Golf Shop associates regarding speed of play and any possible delays. Distributing scorecards, extra pencils and any information or assistance the players may need. Assisting with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area and parking lot. Assisting in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings. Providing sincere and courteous service to all guests with items such as bag handling. Maintaining the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the podium and bag drop area. Maintaining the cart storage area and cart wash down area in a neat, clean and orderly condition. Preparing golf carts for play following the standards of Troon Golf. Assisting in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, speed of play and so forth. Directing start of play when necessary. Maintaining accurate records of golfers renting clubs. Serving the customer who is renting golf clubs and cleaning rental clubs upon return. Assisting with food and beverage activities. Incorporating safe work practices in job performance. Performing other duties as required. Minimum qualifications of the Outside Services Attendant include: High School Diploma or GED; and six months to a year customer service experience or training.
