$23 and in-office, weekday hours, this role offers a great opportunity for growth and hands-on experience in a reputable dealership setting. You will work full-time, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. This in-office position is perfect for someone looking for consistency and work-life balance during the standard workweek. As an Assistant Auto Service Writer, you will start your day by greeting customers as they arrive, assisting with check-in, and collecting keys to ensure every customer feels welcome and supported. You will open preliminary repair orders and verify all customer information, carefully recording mileage and vehicle concerns. Throughout the day, you will handle service department phone calls, help schedule appointments via DealerTrack, and manage emails from the sales department related to service scheduling. You will coordinate the check-in and check-out of loaner vehicles, making sure all agreements are signed and that the vehicles are ready, clean, and fueled for customer use. Your attention to detail will shine as you inspect loaner vehicles upon return and maintain organized vehicle logs. In addition, you will process various payment methods, ensure repair orders are accurate, and review completed services with customers. When vehicles are ready, you will stage them for pickup, organize keys and paperwork, and assist with moving vehicles across service and parking areas as needed.
