Senior Teller

Senior Tellers serve as trusted resources within the branch by providing support to peers, resolving escalated issues, processing operational overrides, and supporting branch leaders with opening and closing responsibilities. As key members of the branch team, they model expert knowledge of credit union products and services support members' financial wellbeing, promote self-service adoption, and enhance the welcoming, inclusive branch environment. What you will do here: Build trusted member relationships by welcoming members to the branch, managing lobby traffic and appointment scheduling, and providing courteous, professional, and solutions-oriented support that fosters long-term trust. Deliver accurate, compliant, and expert-level teller service by processing a wide range of transactions. These transactions include common items such as deposits, withdrawals, check payments, and basic account servicing, as well as more complex needs such as account maintenance, ownership changes, wire requests, IRA transactions, automatic transfer requests, disputes, and notary services. Uphold operational standards, ensure accuracy, follow compliance policies, and act promptly on fraud or security concerns. Engage members in elevated consultative conversations to identify member financial needs, provide basic financial guidance, and submit qualified referrals that support member financial wellbeing and deepen relationships. Use and promote digital tools and CRM systems to accurately complete transactions, maintain data integrity, and assist members in adopting self-service options for convenience and engagement. Apply sound judgment to provide escalated operational support to Branch Leadership and the team, including but not limited to opening and closing the branch, performing transactional overrides within scope, escalating member complaints, assisting with vault responsibilities as assigned, and maintaining engagement of the team in the absence of a leader. Other duties as assigned. What you will need: High School Diploma or GED required. 1+ years of experience in Sales and Service required. 1+ years of experience with cash handling required. 1+ years of previous financial institution experience required. Demonstrates an expert level of accuracy and strong attention to detail while processing transactions, maintaining records, and adhering to procedures; recognizes and resolves discrepancies proactively required. Displays genuine care, patience, and professionalism with high level of emotional intelligence in every interaction; recognizes member emotions and responds appropriately while maintaining composure while building trust and resolving concerns required. Communicates clearly and confidently during complex or escalated interactions; actively listens to understand member needs and convey information accurately required. Adapts quickly to evolving processes, technologies, and priorities while maintaining a positive and solutions-focused mindset in a fast-paced, dynamic environment required.
