FUNCTIONS:
- Creates outstanding visual design incorporating typography, color theory, and logo and icon design while being mindful of usability and web best practices.
- Designs HTML prototypes, visual interfaces and interaction of Web-based applications.
- Implements the user interface designs in HTML, XHTML, and CSS.
- Uses InDesign, Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash and Acrobat.
- Builds and designs email blasts.
- Designs while working within the clients brand standards.
- Translates business concepts and specifications into compelling revenue generating pages.
- Visually integrates and enhances the site architecture, user interface and navigation.
- Works with application development staff to produce consistently creative solutions.
- Keep projects on track within agreed upon schedules and deadlines.
- Ensures a strong commitment to quality and adheres to all ISO 9001 related standards.
- Complies with all safety policies and reports any safety issues immediately to a manager.
- Displays behavior and judgment that consistently upholds Hibbert ACT values.
- All other duties/responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management.
- Ad agency experience or in-house art department experience preferred.
- Front end, UI, DOM CSS2 experience.
- LAMP/PHP a plus.
- DHTML, XML, and AJAX or understanding of AJAX a plus.
- Proficiency in Illustrator CS3, Photoshop CS3, InDesign CS3, PageFlex and Quark 7.
- Team player with the ability to learn and implement new concepts quickly.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Understanding of web usability issues.
- Have experience in creating effective interactive user flow.
- Understanding and experience in print production helpful.
- Must be comfortable presenting creative ideas to clients and colleagues.
- Education: Degree in Graphic Design or Web Design preferred.
