Position

Program Director, Child Welfare Services (CICC) . Positions are located statewide based on location of candidate.

Shift and Pay

Shift: Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM including holidays and After Hours as needed.

Pay Grade: N

Role and Responsibilities

  • Making recommendations to improve equipment, design, service, or production schedule.
  • Organizes and executes activities and special projects.
  • Prepares reports, and makes recommendations or determinations based on analysis.
  • Promotes goals and objectives of the program in all forms of media.
  • Provides program, administrative, and/or technical assistance and interpretation.
  • Research and resolve detailed issues/questions and prepare documents.
  • Serves on development teams, proposes drafts, and/or reviews current policies to recommend changes.
  • Assists assigned agencies with information, resolving problems, and provide services.
  • Project Director for the CPS Intake Communications Center (CICC) will fulfill dual roles of being the Lead Program Specialist for the Field Program Specialist Team and Project Manager for the CICC Quality Assurance Team.

Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Analyze and assess the effectiveness of existing programs to ensure identified outcome measures are achieved.
  • Assure compliance with DFCS policy, appropriate documentation standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Foster a cooperative and team-oriented environment within DFCS and with external agencies and providers.
  • Facilitate communication within DFCS at all levels regarding specific case-level as well as general-level procedure and policy.
  • Collect and analyze data related to performance indicators and resources.
  • Reviews a random sample of intakes monthly or as defined to ensure quality and fidelity.
  • Provides data relevant to reviews conducted for adherence to SRS model.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years experience managing subordinate supervisors in a human service delivery program.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND two years of experience at the lower level (CWS Administrator) or position equivalent.

Related qualifications/experience: Related qualifications include social work and behavioral science degrees, including but not limited to the following: social science, psychology, sociology, child development, family studies, criminal justice, education, public health and public administration. Related experience includes the provision of services in a social services environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience/Knowledge in all social service programs, specifically with CPS Intake Communication Center, of the Division of Family and Children Services.
  • Strong work experience conducting child protective services investigations, to include special investigations.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ Experience as a Field Program Specialist or Child Welfare Services Administrator (highly desirable).

Special Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation, proof of auto insurance, a valid state-issued driver’s license, and an acceptable driving history record.
