Role Description
NAEM seeks a full-time Program Director to manage and oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of educational programs and initiatives. Responsibilities include designing and delivering impactful EHS&S learning experiences, coordinating with stakeholders, leading program development, and ensuring content aligns with member needs and organizational goals. The Program Director will be responsible for managing budgets, timelines, and operational logistics. This is an on-site position located in Washington, DC.
Qualifications
- Program management and organizational skills, including experience overseeing project lifecycles, budgets, and timelines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with expertise in stakeholder engagement and relationship development
- Content development and event planning proficiency, including educational program design and curriculum creation
- Understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Sustainability concepts and challenges
- Strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Technology savviness, including familiarity with data management and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Prior experience in association management or nonprofit organizations is a plus
