Nomura Asset Management International’s (NAMI) Investment Grade Private Debt team invests across infrastructure debt, corporate credit, and asset-backed finance solutions on behalf of NAMI’s institutional client base and is a leading investment platform with $16 billion in AUM. This team combines deep industry experience in investment grade infrastructure and corporate debt markets with highly dynamic opportunities to grow the business.
- The team is seeking an Executive Director with deep expertise in structuring and originating credit investments in the infrastructure and commercial private placement markets.
- Your role will be in sourcing, analyzing, and monitoring credit investments across a global issuer universe.
- You will be a key member of the origination and portfolio management effort on behalf of our clients and a valuable contributor to the growth and success of the platform.
Location(s): Philadelphia (preferred) or New York City
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- 10+ years’ related experience - MBA or CFA preferred
- Experience originating and underwriting transactions across a broad spectrum of infrastructure sectors, including renewables, energy and energy transition, digital infrastructure, transportation and social infrastructure, or a demonstrated history of originating opportunities in industrial markets and aptitude for expanding investment capabilities into new sectors.
- Highly numerate and possess skills in all aspects of credit and financial analysis, covering both transaction execution and ongoing portfolio management.
- Demonstrable experience sourcing new investment opportunities and building relationships with borrowers, sponsors and advisors.
- Experience leading and developing deal teams, and preferably also client relationship management and fundraising.
