Description
The MSL role embodies our medical mission to be recognized as the trusted partner for internal stakeholders and the healthcare community, driving scientific exchange to enhance medical education, data generation, insight generation and patients’ access to medicine.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with academic and community research thought leaders, appropriate HCPs, and access stakeholders.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using available scientific resources and presentations; respond to questions ensuring medical accuracy and compliance.
- Assess the medical landscape, meet with TL/HCPs, and continuously update knowledge of treatment strategies, products, unmet needs, and clinical trials.
- Identify opportunities to partner with HCPs on disease state initiatives, collaborative research projects, and investigator-sponsored research.
- Attend medical congresses and local/regional meetings, providing meaningful medical insights back to the medical and commercial organizations.
- Support interventional and non-interventional research studies, including site assessment, recruitment facilitation, and safe use of BMS investigational products.
- Provide scientific support at promotional meetings and participate in assigned Congress activities.
- Support ISR submission, execution, and study follow-up, ensuring pharmacovigilance procedures are applied.
- Collaborate with cross-matrix field teams and internal stakeholders to establish compliant, customer‑centric collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience
- MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP with experience in neuroscience or broad medical background and pharmaceutical experience.
- Minimum 2 years in a clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment; prior MSL experience preferred.
- Knowledge of disease area, scientific publications, competitive landscape, clinical trial design, national healthcare, and HEOR core concepts.
- Excellent English language skills, spoken and written.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player; translate scientific data into valuable insights for physicians.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; develop peer‑to‑peer relationships with TLs.
- Demonstrate BMS values, ethical integrity, and a responsible driving record.
Essential Qualification
Ability to drive a company‑provided car and maintain a safe driving record.
Travel Requirement
- Travel required; must live within 50 miles of the territory borders.
- Spend majority of time in the field with external customers.
