Program Director will be a member of the Strategic and Consulting team at Virtusa and will have responsibility for delivering and owning a high level of governance of client relationships and Program delivery. The role is pivotal in the growth of a select client cluster with clearly established top‑line and bottom‑line targets, selling new service offerings and solutions to the client cluster, and successfully owning and delivering for the client.
Responsibilities
Effective leadership and management of risk, escalation, executive reporting, and overall program management delivery of accounts and managing the overall client relationship with key decision makers.
Establishing and building trust and leveraging client context to understand overall business goals.
Positioning Virtusa as a transformational partner and identifying avenues for Virtusa to implement IT solutions.
Directing and managing the overall client relationship to include work quality and customer satisfaction.
Managing the account teams (account management and project management) to meet and exceed client expectations.
Contributing to new business development efforts, partnering with sales teams, to enhance and broaden the relationship with existing clients and to create new logos within the vertical.
Establishing key internal relationships in support of effective program delivery for account.
Comfortable in groups/teams and able to both lead and follow, demonstrating top‑notch consulting/relationship management skills and a deep appreciation of IT tools, techniques, systems and solutions.
Required Skills / Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a client‑facing role or account leadership role in the management consulting firm.
Strong background in a project environment and application development.
Bachelor’s Degree.
Knowledge of value‑articulation principles, including client ROI and appropriate story‑boarding techniques.
Knowledge of client context and client engagement guidelines, including organizational sensitivities to consistently look for new solutions.
Specialized knowledge of industry analytics and the ability to use trends to forecast and provide inputs within the organization to develop the right solutions.
Must Have
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and client‑management skills are essential. This role requires strong leadership skills and demonstrated capabilities of being a thought leader. The candidate must be able to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Ability to conceptualize, analyze, create a blueprint for business transformations and present solutions.
Travel 10% of the travel will be predominantly in the US.
