Pain Medicine Fellowship Program Director In the role of Pain Medicine Fellowship Program Director at the University at Buffalo, you will serve as the educational leader of the fellowship program, overseeing all aspects of training while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. You will develop and manage the curriculum, supervise clinical and educational experiences, evaluate fellows using competency-based assessments, and support their academic and professional growth. Working closely with departmental leadership, faculty, hospital partners, and the GME office, you will maintain a high-quality training environment aligned with institutional goals and ACGME requirements. You will also lead recruitment efforts, coordinate educational programming, contribute to research and teaching initiatives, and prepare fellows for board certification and leadership roles in pain medicine.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a licensed qualified physician who has successfully completed an anesthesiology program approved by the American Board of Anesthesiology and currently licensed to practice medicine in New York State.

Must be certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, or Psychiatry and Neurology.

Must be appointed by the Department Chairman/Program Director.

Must hold a faculty appointment and appropriate clinical appointment in good standing, including active medical staff privileges, at the University at Buffalo and an affiliated participating site.

Must demonstrate ongoing academic achievement appropriate to the subspecialty, including scholarly publications, educational program development, or research activity.

Salary Range $25,000 - $45,000

Additional Salary Information The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate.
