About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Architect / Lead Developer with extensive experience in IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA), IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW/BPM), and REST API integrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking and a proven track record of managing complex enterprise projects. With 8 to 14 years of experience, you will play a critical role in driving the success of digital transformation initiatives and contributing to key technical deliverables. In this role you will: Lead the design, development, and architecture of enterprise automation solutions using IBM CP4BA and IBM BAW/BPM Build and enhance workflow-driven business applications and content-centric solutions using ECM / IBM FileNet Content Manager Design and implement REST API–based integrations with internal and external systems Develop AI-assisted capabilities using watsonx.ai Studio, including document classification, extraction, summarization, and conversational experiences Apply cloud-native development practices on OpenShift and Kubernetes Collaborate with product owners, architects, DevOps, security/IAM, and QA teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions Ensure compliance with banking regulations, enterprise security standards, and responsible AI principles Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to technical documentation and standards Work Model:

United States What You Need to Have to Be Considered 8 to 14 years of overall IT experience with strong enterprise application development background Hands‑on experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA) Strong expertise in IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW/BPM) Experience with REST API design and system integrations Hands‑on experience with ECM / IBM FileNet Content Manager Exposure to cloud‑native platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes Strong understanding of banking and financial services domain Experience working on large‑scale, complex enterprise projects Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills These Will Help You Stand Out Experience using watsonx.ai Studio for AI‑assisted automation use cases IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation certification (nice to have) Experience designing end‑to‑end workflow, content, and AI‑driven solutions Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise security integrations Prior experience in a technology architect or lead developer role Salary and Other Compensation Annual Salary Range: $83,600 – $129,500 based on experience and overall qualifications. Eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
