IBM’s AI-First Transformation organization is redefining how a global enterprise operates in the agentic AI era—designing workflows, operating models, and technology foundations that power the next generation of IBM.
We are the group responsible for architecting IBM’s enterprise-wide transformation agenda, scaling AI solutions, and reimagining how work gets done across thousands of processes. Our mandate is to help IBM become the world’s benchmark AI-first enterprise.
To date, the organization has delivered $4.5B in productivity gains, making IBM a standout performer in the MIT GenAI Divide study, where 95% of enterprises fail to move beyond pilots. IBM is the rare organization successfully scaling AI at material enterprise levels—and this team is at the center of that shift.
This position sits inside one of IBM’s most strategic transformation engines.
The position will be based either at our flagship IBM New York City office at One Madison Avenue or at IBM’s headquarters campus in Armonk, NY, roughly 30 miles north of New York City, depending on candidate's preference.
Your role and responsibilities As an AI-First Transformation Strategy Consultant, you will work with transformation leaders, technical product owners, data and AI experts, workflow specialists, and senior stakeholders across IBM accelerate IBM’s transformation.

Your role and responsibilities What You’ll Do
Reimagine Enterprise Workflows with AI
Conduct deep workflow assessments across Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations, Sales, and other business domains
Apply zero-based design to create AI-native workflows, not incremental fixes
Identify opportunities for automation, GenAI, agentic systems, and intelligent orchestration
Define future-state operating models and transformation playbooks
Advance AI Product Strategy & Experimentation
Evaluate prototypes, tools, and platforms being developed or tested across IBM
Lead or support experiments that test feasibility, scalability, and workflow integration
Support design of MVPs and contribute to readiness assessments for scale
Shape recommendations for build, integrate, or enhance decisions
Build Technology & Transformation Roadmaps
Integrate business needs with data, infrastructure, and platform capabilities
Translate cross‑functional input into clear technology and AI enablement plans
Develop multi‑quarter transformation roadmaps across domains
Engage with AI governance, risk, and prioritization mechanisms
Quantify Value Creation (Transformation & ROI)
Develop value hypotheses and financial models for high-impact AI deployments
Track KPIs and build tooling for visibility into impact and adoption
Support prioritization decisions tied to enterprise value
Prepare executive-caliber materials for leadership forums
Collaborate with Senior Stakeholders Across IBM
Work closely with leaders across business units, technology groups, and transformation teams
Create clear, insight-driven deliverables for executive reviews
Participate in cross-functional sprints and enterprise transformation workstreams
Help communicate transformation strategy and operating model shifts across IBM
