About the Role We're seeking an experienced Associate Director of Customer Engineering to lead our technical integration team in delivering complex, enterprise-grade integrations for Fortune 500 customers. You'll manage a team of Integration Consultants who work directly with customers to implement and integrate our AI-powered supply chain visibility platform with existing enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, and other TMS/WMS/ERP solutions.
This is a customer-facing, hands‑on technical leadership position reporting to the Director of Engineering. You'll be a player/coach with the ability to manage a diverse team of onshore and offshore consultants while participating in hands‑on technical work to lead by example. You'll work in close partnership with our Professional Services organization to ensure seamless integration delivery across our traditional visibility solutions and emerging agentic AI capabilities.
As we scale our integration capabilities to support increasingly sophisticated AI‑powered workflows, autonomous decision‑making systems, and real‑time data orchestration, you'll play a critical role in building team expertise, establishing best practices, and ensuring integration excellence across our growing customer base.
What you’ll be doing: Integration Delivery Excellence
Lead successful execution of integration workstreams on implementations for new and existing Fortune 500 customers across Order Visibility, Inventory Visibility, Transportation Management, and AI‑powered automation solutions
Ensure integrations support both traditional visibility features and emerging AI capabilities including agentic workflows, autonomous decision‑making, and predictive analytics
Act as project sponsor on technically complex implementations requiring advanced integration architecture with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, Manhattan), OMS, WMS, TMS, and YMS platforms
Support team to clear technical roadblocks, acting as point of escalation internally and externally for integration challenges
Deliver real‑time and batch integrations enabling seamless data flow across customer enterprise systems with focus on data quality, reliability, and scalability
Directly manage, coach, motivate and mentor a team of onshore and offshore Integration Consultants, providing technology leadership to foster collaboration, productivity, efficiency and agility
Create clear goals for team members, fostering accountability and ownership for quality of delivered integrations
Develop team capability in emerging technologies including AI/ML integrations, modern APIs, cloud‑native architectures, and event‑driven patterns
Plan, delegate, and track task assignments while managing team resource capacity and utilization across concurrent customer projects
Participate in hands‑on technical work to lead by example, maintain technical credibility, and mentor consultants on complex integration scenarios
Shape and drive integration team growth strategy in alignment with product roadmap, customer needs, and FourKites' AI transformation
Establish and evolve integration best practices, reusable patterns, and standardized components for common integration scenarios
Collaborate with and train consultants on internal tool usage, technical roadblock mitigation, and process improvements
Develop comprehensive documentation and knowledge sharing for internal teams, implementation partners, and customers
Define and track metrics providing insight into team productivity, velocity, integration quality, and customer satisfaction
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Professional Services, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless delivery
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to assess technical impact of product requirement changes and provide integration implementation feedback
Work with Professional Services leadership to ensure integrated delivery approach, smooth handoffs, and aligned customer expectations
Provide technical consultation during pre‑sales for complex integration scenarios, helping scope and position integration solutions
Ensure all technical work is properly scoped, identifying risks and partnering internally and externally for project success
Translate technical integration capabilities into customer business value and contribute to solution positioning
About the Team The Customer Engineering team is the technical backbone of FourKites' customer implementations, enabling Fortune 500 companies to connect our AI‑powered platform with their enterprise systems. Working in close partnership with Professional Services, the team architects and delivers complex integrations spanning ERP, OMS, WMS, and TMS platforms—turning data silos into unified supply chain intelligence. Who you are: Experience & Leadership
5+ years in technical leadership and people management, preferably in Agile environments
8+ years in customer‑facing technical consulting or integration engineering
Proven track record managing diverse teams of onshore and offshore technical consultants
Experience leading integration delivery for enterprise SaaS implementations with demonstrated success delivering on‑time, high‑quality integrations
Technical & Integration Expertise
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or equivalent
Deep understanding of leading TMS/WMS/ERP systems: SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder (JDA), Manhattan, MercuryGate, BluJay
Strong knowledge of communication protocols: FTP, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, AS2
Expert‑level understanding of web service calls: REST APIs, SOAP, GraphQL
Proficiency with file structures and data formats: XML, EDI (X12, EDIFACT), JSON, flat files, CSV
Experience with modern integration platforms and middleware (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica, or similar preferred)
Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud‑native integration patterns
Familiarity with data transformation, mapping, and ETL/ELT processes
Knowledge of authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth, API keys, certificates)
Supply Chain & Domain Knowledge (Required)
Experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation technology required
Understanding of supply chain data flows: orders, shipments, inventory, tracking events, delivery confirmations
Familiarity with supply chain visibility, control tower, or real‑time tracking solutions
Knowledge of transportation management, warehouse management, or order management business processes
Strategic & Collaboration Skills
Ability to define and track metrics for team productivity, velocity, and integration quality
Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize across multiple concurrent projects and competing demands

Compensation The expected annual base salary range for this role is $140,000 – $170,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, skills, and business needs. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for bonus and incentive compensation as well as participation in FourKites' employee stock option program.
