Compensation :$80,000 to $90,000

SUMMARY: A key role in Asia Society's ambitious fundraising efforts, this role will support and advance the Individual Giving, including membership programs, patron programs, and campaign donors. This role will work closely with the Director of Individual Giving to cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of mid-to-high-level donors and prospects, while engaging and expanding the entry-level donor base.

This role is an integral part of a dynamic Development department charged with ensuring the ongoing success of donor engagement to power Asia Society's New York Headquarters' mission and programs. This position will report directly to the Director of Individual Giving and will work closely with the Managing Director of Philanthropy. This position will manage a Development Coordinator.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Individual Giving Strategy & Implementation:

Collaborate with the Director of Individual Giving on strengthening the diverse Individual Giving vehicles, including membership, Patron programs, end-of-year (EOY) and end-of-fiscal-year (EOFY) campaigns, 70th anniversary fundraising campaign, and other individual campaigns.

Lead the strategies and donor journeys for members and entry-to-mid-level donors, in collaboration with the CRM Director and relevant team members, to ensure positive member experiences while expanding the donor base.

Assist the Director of Individual Giving in executing program strategy and activities.

Contribute to building a culture of cultivation and delivery, supporting team and board coordination to increase donor engagement.

Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:

Oversee day-to-day execution of the individual donor and Patron Membership programs.

Manage a growing portfolio of mid-to-high-level donors and prospects through proactive outreach, personalized communications, and stewardship activities.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current donors and prospects.

Craft strong donor materials, including digital and print communications, solicitations, email marketing outreach, and other print and mail projects.

Work closely with the Director of Individual Giving on segmented outreach.

Collaborate with the Development team to plan and execute personalized donor cultivation events.

Work in concert with Asia Society's Prospect Researcher and Director of Individual Giving to conduct prospect research and identify new prospects and opportunities.

Ensure donors and members receive accurate and timely responses, with support from the Development Coordinator.

Knowledge Management:

Supervise and oversee the work of the Development Coordinator.

Work with the Development Coordinator and the Manager of Development Operations and Stewardship to maintain an accurate database of current and prospective opportunities, as well as current gifts.

Support the strategic improvements and operationalization of systems, resources, policies, and requirements for donor tracking, integrated field activity measurements, and related complex projects.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree a plus.

At least 5 to 6 years of progressively responsible experience in individual giving, major gifts, or related development roles.

Experience supporting or managing a high-end giving program.

Demonstrated fundraising experience, preferably at a nonprofit cultural organization.

Experience contributing to omni-channel lifecycle marketing programs that have driven results: conversion, engagement, cross-sell, and retention.

Skills and Competencies

Data-driven approach and strong analytic skills with experience tracking metrics for success.

Strategic thinker with ability to support and collaborate with senior staff and cross-functional partners.

Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to support revenue growth. Experience with Salesforce, ACME, and Marketing Cloud a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven ability to build strong relationships with donors and colleagues.

Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and organized with strong problem-solving skills.

Comfortable in ambiguous, uncertain, or vague situations.
