Job Summary
The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance and safety of the facility. This role ensures that the building, equipment, and systems are properly maintained to provide a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The Maintenance Director will manage daily operations, coordinate repairs, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations of the facility Ensure building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) are functioning properly Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and life codes Manage and maintain facility equipment and tools Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed Ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors Maintain maintenance logs, records, and reports Support infection control and safety protocols within the facility Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 1–2 years of maintenance experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting required Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Good communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications
