
Senior Business Analyst – Digital ID

* Competitive health benefits (employee premiums covered at 100%, family premiums at 50%)* Voluntary Vision, Dental, Life, and Disability insurance options* Generous paid vacation, sick time, and holidays* Teachers Retirement System of Texas: a defined benefit retirement plan* Additional Voluntary Retirement Programs: Tax Sheltered Annuity 403(b) and a Deferred Compensation program 457(b)* Flexible spending account options for medical and childcare expenses* Robust free training access through LinkedIn Learning plus professional conference opportunities* Tuition assistance* Expansive employee discount program including athletic tickets* Free access to UT Austin's libraries and museums with staff ID card* Free rides on all UT Shuttle and Austin CapMetro buses with staff ID card* Lead business analysis and requirements gathering efforts for Digital ID systems and related technologies.* Develop, document, maintain, and communicate business rules, workflows, and functional requirements.* Work with stakeholders and technical teams to identify and document detailed system expectations and operational needs.* Translate business processes into structured requirements for development and implementation teams.* Maintain and update requirements documentation to ensure alignment between business needs and system capabilities.* Develop and maintain use cases, test cases, and testing procedures.* Support functional, regression, and performance testing activities.* Identify, document, and assist with isolating system defects across both expected and unanticipated scenarios.* Work with technical teams to resolve issues and ensure solutions meet documented requirements.* Gather data on testing and create tickets to route them to the proper team for resolution.* Manage business analysis and testing deliverables through planning, tracking, and reporting activities.* Create and maintain project documentation including requirements artifacts, test documentation, schedules, and status reports.* Work with project managers and technical teams to monitor project tasks and support timely completion of milestones.* Maintain documentation repositories for requirements, testing artifacts, and process documentation.* Communicate functional and technical details to a range of audiences including developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders.* Serve as a liaison between operational stakeholders and technical teams to clarify requirements and system expectations.* Assist with decomposing system functionality to support testing and validation activities.* Support technical teams in understanding operational workflows and business requirements.* Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.* Minimum 5 years of experience as a business analyst, systems analyst, or in a similar role supporting IT or compliance initiatives.* Demonstrated experience gathering customer requirements and translating them into functional and technical specifications.* Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.* Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups.* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.* Proficiency with business analysis and project tools (e.g., process mapping, requirements documentation, JIRA, Confluence, or similar).* U.S. Citizen, resident, or officially recognized asylee - Applicant selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.* Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of relevant professional experience.* Experience supporting enterprise technology implementations or large-scale system initiatives.* Experience working with software testing methodologies or quality assurance practices.* Experience working in higher education or similarly complex organizations.* Familiarity with enterprise systems, integrations, and operational support processes.**Start Here, Change the World**At The University of Texas at Austin, tradition meets innovation in the heart of a city that frequents lists of the best places to live and work.
