Industrial Designer
Our consumer goods company is looking for an
industrial designer
to join their team. As an industrial designer, you will work closely with senior designers, engineers, and production teams to transform concepts into detailed, production‑ready design solutions. You will contribute to improving product usability, sustainability, and overall market appeal through iterative design, prototyping, and testing.

Compensation:
$75,000-90,000/yr
Responsibilities
Create detailed 3D models, sketches, renderings, and prototypes using CAD and visualization tools
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine concepts and ensure technical feasibility
Research materials, manufacturing processes, user needs, and market trends to inform design decisions
Support design reviews by preparing clear presentations, specifications, and documentation
Participate in user testing and apply insights to enhance product functionality, ergonomics, and aesthetics
Iterate designs based on feedback, testing, and cost analyses while maintaining design intent
Maintain organized records of design iterations, drawings, specifications, and project timelines
Ensure designs comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout the development cycle
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a closely related field
3–5 years of professional experience in industrial or product design
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, or equivalent
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Procreate for visualization and presentations
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, metal fabrication, assembly) and common materials
Strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking, aesthetics, and problem‑solving capabilities
Proven technical design skills, including the creation of detailed drawings and specifications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with rapid prototyping methods and tools (e.g., 3D printing, foam models, CNC)
Knowledge of sustainable design principles and eco‑friendly materials
Experience with rendering and visualization tools such as KeyShot and other 3D software
Prior work experience or internships in a manufacturing, consumer products, or product design environment
Understanding of ergonomic principles, human factors, and user‑centered design methodologies
