Northrop Grumman has an opening for a

Proposal Analyst (Level 2 or Level 3)

to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals! This position can be located in San Diego, CA, El Segundo, CA or Palmdale, CA.

The

Proposal Analyst Level 2 or Principal Proposal Analyst Level 3

will become part of the Material Estimating and Analysis (ME&A), working closely with Global Supply Chain (GSC), Program Management Office, Business Management, and various cross-functional proposal teammates. The candidates selected for this role will be a key member of proposal teams, leading/supporting proposal activities of diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement and collaboration with other team members.

Essential Functions

Develops, plans and schedules proposals

Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications

Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments

Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts

Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings

Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives

Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team

This position may be filled at either an Analyst (Level 2) or a Principal (Level 3) depending upon candidate qualifications, skills, education, knowledge and experience.

Basic Qualifications (Level 2)

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field of study with 2 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree in stated fields of study

Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

Must have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance

Basic Qualifications (Level 3)

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field of study with 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree in stated fields of study with 3 years of relevant experience,

Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

Must have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance

Preferred qualifications

Aerospace/Defense industry experience

Experience with FAR and DFARs

Supply Chain experience

Knowledge of SAP/ERP

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
