The Sales Manager plays a key role in driving business, building client relationships, and supporting events that showcase the beauty and versatility of our historic property-embodying Meyer Jabara Hotels' values of empowerment, accountability, and excellence.

Position Overview The Sales Manager is responsible for driving event and group business through proactive outreach, relationship development, and exceptional client service. This role supports the Director of Catering by managing sales leads, conducting site visits, planning event details, and ensuring flawless execution. The Sales Manager plays a key role in creating memorable moments that highlight the luxury experience of The Abbey Inn & Spa and uphold the service standards of Meyer Jabara Hotels.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development

Conduct proactive and reactive selling to generate new business opportunities.

Develop and maintain strong relationships through solicitation, referrals, and follow-up efforts.

Attend networking events and community functions to expand market presence.

Participate in trade shows, wedding showcases, and special promotional events as needed.

Client Relations & Account Management

Manage assigned accounts, maintaining strong communication and trust throughout the sales cycle.

Conduct effective site visits, highlighting the property's event spaces, services, and experiences.

Respond promptly to inquiries, generate proposals, and create accurate, timely contracts.

Support clients through personalized menu planning and event customization.

Event Planning Support & Execution

Collaborate with the Director of Catering and operations teams to plan event details thoroughly.

Coordinate event logistics, timelines, and setup requirements to ensure smooth execution.

Serve as the main point of contact during day-of event execution, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any needs.

Deliver exceptional service that aligns with Meyer Jabara's standard of creating memorable moments for all guests.

Team Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with the Catering, Banquets, Culinary, Rooms, and F&B teams to ensure seamless event delivery.

Communicate all event details clearly through BEOs and internal communication standards.

Uphold Meyer Jabara Hotels' culture of empowerment, accountability, and service excellence.

Qualifications

2–4 years of hotel or event sales experience preferred.

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Ability to manage multiple events, clients, and deadlines simultaneously.

Proficiency with sales software (Delphi or similar preferred).

Flexible schedule, including evenings/weekends as needed for events or networking.
