Overview:
The Contract Paralegal is responsible for managing, reviewing and evaluating Consultant contracts and the redlines proposed for same as well assist with ongoing litigation. Responsibilities
Consultant Contracts
Issue contracts for consultants and all non-construction vendors, including architects, engineers, attorneys, et al. Track contracts to ensure all contracts are sent, reviewed, revised, approved and executed in a timely manner. Collect, review and obtain approval for redlines on all contract language with the EVP, Operations. Ensure the appropriate approvals are obtained specific to each project’s requirements, including collaborate with partners and outside counsel on contract language approvals as needed. Collect and submit certificates of insurance from consultants. Manage Consultant Contract prequalification process, including OFAC checks, W9 collection and evidence of insurance. Assist with obtaining consent and assignment agreements from consultants and construction to owners / lenders. Requirements
Skills Required:
Intermediate-level computer skills in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Adobe; strong ability to utilize technology and online research to complete tasks efficiently, particularly experience in managing redlines across Word and Adobe. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure; ability to work independently with excellent judgment. Highly motivated, detail oriented, well-organized professional with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication. skills and commitment to production and quality with minimal supervision.
