What You’ll Do
Lead contracting strategy and negotiations with national and regional health plans to expand in-network coverage and improve reimbursement
Renegotiate existing payer contracts to maximize reimbursement and optimize patient access across service lines
Build and maintain strong relationships with payer organizations to enhance contract terms and identify growth opportunities
Oversee the end-to-end payer contracting process, including prioritization, workflow management, and performance metrics
Partner with Reimbursement, Market Access, and Policy teams to align contracting strategies with broader access and coverage goals
Provide guidance on reimbursement methodologies and legislative updates in collaboration with Government Affairs & Policy
Collaborate with internal teams to identify process improvements and contracting opportunities
Develop and enhance financial models and tools to evaluate payer contract performance
Leverage deep knowledge of payer operations to resolve reimbursement challenges
Lead and mentor the team responsible for negotiating single-case agreements
Engage with executive leadership to communicate progress, insights, and strategic priorities
Conduct market research to support policy and coverage strategies
Support development and execution of payer coverage strategies
Partner cross-functionally to ensure successful reimbursement and coverage across all service lines
About You
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or professional degree preferred
10–12 years of experience in payer contracting within healthcare
Proven track record of leading complex contract negotiations
Deep understanding of U.S. healthcare system and payer economics
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong understanding of payer business models and reimbursement methodologies
Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive strategic outcomes
Strong organizational and project management skills
Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset
Passion for improving patient access to innovative oncology therapies
What We Offer The pay range which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting is $184,000-$308,000/yr. This position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant in addition to a full range of benefits. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job‑related knowledge and skills demonstrated.
