POSITIONSUMMARY: The
Marketing Specialist
isprimarily responsible for designing, developing, and producing proposals,presentations, and other marketing materials. This position requires regularcollaboration with leadership, business development, and technical team membersto develop marketing materials and strategies that promote Manhattan’s positive image andservices. As a part of Manhattan’s centralized marketingdepartment, the marketing specialist works under the direction of corporatemarketing and area leadership to which they are assigned.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintainscheduling and tracking systems for individual pursuit, proposal elements,and status.
Assist indeveloping pursuit plans and client outreach activities ahead of RFPrelease.
Organizepresentation rehearsals.
Follow electronicfile structure, access, and backup procedures for all proposalmaterials.
Generate customcopy for proposals and presentations, including writing/editing text,design layout, custom graphics, tailoring resumes, and integratingschedules, with input from the marketing director, business developer,project director, and technical team.
Help produceSOQs/proposals, including editing and graphics; prepare for digital andprint reproduction.
Identify andmonitor SOQ/proposal criteria and ensure the response is fullycompliant.
Handle productionand arrange for on-time delivery of SOQs/proposals. Gather content fromthe team and consultants as needed.
Trackpre-submittal meeting schedules and attendees and identifydecision-makers.
Maintain systemsto extract, categorize, and retrieve information related to clients,consultants, personnel, projects, prior proposals, boilerplate, andvisuals.
Support of onlinepresence, including social media and website.
Embrace andimplement brand standards.
Draft pressreleases and support public relations efforts under the direction of theMarketing and Communications Director. Monitor online and print sources,including newspapers, magazines, and blogs.
Ensure compliancewith copyright laws and photographer usage rights.
Coordinate awardscompetition entries; ensure compliance with award requirements.
Coordinatefirm/company special events.
Monitor sources ofindustry-related market information.
Gather researchdata related to clients; competitors; past, current, and prospectivemarkets; and relevant corporate experience.
Coordinate finalproject photography, including input on the shoot list.
Responsible forconducting themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles andexhibiting attributes matching the Way We Work.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:
Associate or bachelor's degree recommended.
Five or more years of relevant A/E/C experience required.
Recommended: Attend SMPS and other relevant industry workshops;become familiar with SMPS Six Domains of Professional Services Marketing;prepare to earn the Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM)certification.
WORKINGCONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS:
Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day.
Ability to repeat the same movements.
Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.
Use hands to type, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or control.
Occasionally lift, pull, or move up to 25 lbs.
Occasional travel will be required, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver’s License).
